Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner Review

After using the same eyeliner for a while now i went on a little trip to Superdrug a couple of weeks ago to try out a different one. I ended up picking the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in black.

This eyeliner is a liquid eyeliner but it is shaped like a felt tip pen. I have never used an eyeliner like this before, as i usually use the liquid eyeliners with a little brush on the end, so i thought i would try something new.

First thing i would say is that i found the overall application a little difficult. This may be because i haven't used a felt tip eyeliner before but i found it quite difficult to make a precise wing compared to other liquid liners i have used in the past.

The colour itself also doesn't come out as strong as i would have liked. I found myself having to go over the liner more than once to make it as opaque as possible.

Overall i would have to say i was disappointed by this liner as i do not think it works well for me. However, this may be down to the fact that i am not used to felt tip eyeliners so others may find this product easier to use than i did.

Books I Want To Read This Summer

Summer is so close and I'm already looking forward to it! There are so many things i want to do this summer but one thing that is at the top of my list is to read more. I love reading but since i started my degree it has become more of a 'i do it because i have to' not a 'i do it because i want to' sort of thing.

But my degree is almost over so it's time to get back into reading!

1. The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

I have had this book for a verrryyyyy long time but never gotten around to reading it. I have had a few people tell me it is a really good book so i can't wait to read it.

2. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

I recently watched the first series of Shadowhunters and i absolutely loved it! I became hooked instantly, its such a good show and i am a sucker for anything with a supernatural element to it. The series is loosely based off The Mortal Instruments book series so i really want to read them to find out more about the characters. There are quite a few books in this series so it might take a while but I've been told that it will be worth it.

3. Looking For Alaska by John Green

I read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green about a year ago and cried like a little baby at the ending, it was so sad! John Green is an excellent writer and i was really captivated by the characters. Looking For Alaska is another one of John Greens books and i hope it is as good as The Fault In Our Stars because i loved that book!

4. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

This book is such a classic and i am surprised i haven't read it already! This book is the only book written by Emily Bronte. I loved Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and i have been told that this book has a similar vibe to it. I look forward to reading it this summer.

Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Mattes 2 Review

So a few weeks ago i decided to treat myself to some new eye shadow. I didn't want to pay too much for it but i knew i wanted a palette so that i could have more shades. I went to my local superdrug and discovered the Revolution Palettes. I was pleased that they were so cheap (this one only cost £4.00) and i went for the Redemption Palette in Essential Mattes 2 as i like a smokey eye but also wanted a palette that had some more toned down shades.

This palette has a range of dark and light brown shades and also some more neutral peach and pink shades too which i thought was perfect for me.

I have tried most of the shades but have to say i was disappointed with some of the lighter shades in the palette. Unfortunately they are not as pigmented as i hoped they would be and all of the eye shadows are actually very powdery and chalky so they don't last well for the whole day.

I like the shades and i will probably continue to use the product as it is good considering how cheap it was. However i am disappointed that not all the colours are as pigmented as some of the darker shades in the palette.

Top 3 Skin Care Essentials

It is so so SO important to keep your skin nice and soft and healthy. Not only will it make your skin feel nicer, it will look nicer too. Here are my top 3 skin care essentials which i could not live without!

1) Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser.

In my opinion this is one of the best moisturisers going right now. Its cheap and affordable and its so good. It contains Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E which are both very good for your skin. Its also had no artificial perfume or harsh chemicals which is perfect if you have sensitive skin like me. I find that whenever i use a moisturiser that is perfumed i end up with horrible red blotches on my skin which is not good. This moisturiser also works well as a base before applying foundation.

2) Bio-Oil.

As most people will know i am very tall, while this does have it's perks a downside is that i grew in spurts which resulted in me developing stretch marks on my back and at the tops on my legs. After discovering Bio-Oil about a year ago i have noticed that my stretch marks have faded massively and are no longer as obvious as they were. This has boosted my self-confidence greatly and i am so glad i brought it. Bio-Oil also works well for scars, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin.

3) Scholl Dry Skin Instant Recovery Cream.

Its important to look after your feet, especially your heels. This cream is perfect for repairing cracked skin. The reason people get cracked skin on their heels is because the skin has lost moisture, this promotes an effective moisture level which helps make your feet nice and soft and smooth again. It takes about 5 mins to absorb properly (even though it states on the box it absorbs quickly) so you do have to apply it at a time you know you're not going to be walking around straight away.
